The very gracious Ron Paul

It was my pleasure to meet Congressman and former Presidential candidate, Ron Paul, yesterday in his office. On behalf of the many freedom-loving moms raising the next generation, thank you Dr. Paul for your service in defending our Constitution.
I caught Dr. Paul right before he left to do a segment on the Glenn Beck show, and I dreamed all night of the ultimate photo-op.
And here’s me in one of my finer moments, about to slip a copy of the Constitution under a certain Speaker’s door:

Sometimes I wonder where my kids get their theatrics, but this is a lightbulb moment for me….

I just wanted to jump on board fast and get the first comment in with a big “Go Ron Paul!”.
And as a ‘recovering’ Californian, I echo your sentiments in the second photo. Say a prayer for our brothers and sisters in exile out West.

Gee, I did not notice any acting, both seemed perfectly normal reactions to me!
And we live in CA. We keep offering her to other states and no one wants her… go figure.

December 5th, 2009 at 9:54 am
Oh, sweet!!! I can only imagine what you would have been like if you had been in the same room with Ron Paul and Glenn Beck. ;-)

How funny! I wish Pelosi had opened the door during that photo shoot. The look on her face would have been priceless…wait, she can’t change her expression because of the endless botox injections. Silly me.

So glad u got to meet him ! Did u get your shoes? I am in SF crossed the golden bridge, going to alkatraz with the fam before the packing week. It helps to have a rest before a move, doesn’t it?

Love the theatrical photo! Alot. heh heh
December 6th, 2009 at 12:34 pm
Hee hee! You did it.
December 6th, 2009 at 4:18 pm
Love the pic of you and Dr Paul.
As for the Speaker of the House pic. I am not sure that our current Speaker is able to comprehend something as high minded as our Constitution. There is an assumption that our Founding Father’s made about the literacy of the reader in those days that I am not sure applies to most of our current members of Congress. I was thinking a childrens’ bible might be a better choice. Preferably one of the illustrated versions.

Love the pic! Ha!! You make me laugh!! I’m sure she should read it because I’m sure she hasn’t!! Ha! : )

my grandpa, who lives in CA, would be sooo very proud of you. he loves ron paul, and well, you can imagine what he thinks about the other :)
December 7th, 2009 at 11:15 am
Ha, Amy, you are a hoot.
December 7th, 2009 at 11:23 am
Wow, I would have been awe struck to be that close to Ron Paul….who was on his way to meet with Glenn Beck! And then, I would have been sceeered to be that close to Pelosi. I would have been tempted to anoint that door with oil and pray over it.
December 7th, 2009 at 6:22 pm
What fun! I am looking for the clip of Ron Paul on Glenn Beck, I can only find old ones??? Can anyone help? Ofcourse I am kinda annoyed at Glenn right now, if he makes his annoying wife voice on the radio one more time I might just stop listening, oh and his wifes name is Amy, so that bugs me even more. :)
December 7th, 2009 at 7:41 pm
Amy. It was great meeting you at Church on Sunday! How fun to met a famous blogger! (wink!) Loved your gag photo! So, glad the paint on the floors came up! I think your son is adorable! What would we do with out a little drama in our lives?
December 8th, 2009 at 11:20 am
I am so green with envy, (Wait, that’s a bad thing! Pray for me.) I still have my Ron Paul campaign button on my jacket. I’d love to take a poll now of how many people wish they had voted for him, instead of…you know.
The only thing that would have been better than slipping a copy of the Constitution under her door would have been a copy signed by Ron Paul, no, Ron Paul and Glenn Beck.
I think April C. is right. Let’s really tick off Nancy Pelosi by praying for her. Even if God says no, we’d still have the pleasure of watching her head explode over the notion. Is that wrong of me?

Thought you’d appreciate this post by my sister-in-law…

I loved the photos (especially the Pelosi one) but you need someone to explain the constitution to Pelosi.
