Heard around the house

Almost every Saturday around here is spent on house projects. We enjoy them (mostly), and they need to be done. So, my husband and I are sitting at the table, talking over the plans for our workday.
“So, I’m going to do XYZ today,” says my husband.
“Didn’t we decide to sell X, buy Y, and trade Z? So, building, painting, nailing, and refinishing it won’t work anymore,” replies The Humble Muse.
“I’m getting the schemes all mixed up…”
