I was in the hospital for 30 days with pre term labor with #5 (NOT fun). But on the up side, I read the ENTIRE Complete Tightwad Gazette! From cover to cover! I also loved The Way Home. It completely changed my thinking.

I got a copy of The Complete Tightwad Gazette at a used book sale for 25 cents! Was that a major tightwad score or what? :)
Stepping Heavenward was a wonderful reminder of my frailty and dependence on our mighty God. All 3 of my daughters have read it at least once, as well.
The Way Home was also an early influence in our 24-year marriage, showing us the path to the blessings of homekeeping.
Desiring God is on my list of "to read".
And, of course, the Bible is the best book ever with the best ending ever!

The Complete Tightwad Gazette, by Amy Dacyczyn – Every new bride should have a copy of this book.

This is my 'read' while eating my morning cereal. I even have pencil checks on the top right hand corners of the pages I have read. :)

I rea Mary Pride's book and Amy Dacysc--uh, oh, can't spell it, "The Tightwad Gazette" series as a young bride, too. Now I'm an old bride and I read fiction. ;)
