We are watching a friend walking through this valley right now. He was diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor the week before Christmas. He is currently in a wheelchair and often can't even remember his own children's names. He is the father of 8, and airline pilot, 42 years old, and a Christian. Truly a year ago no one would have even imagined that this man would be where he is today. Sobering very sobering.

I had a moment like that a few months back when a fellow home school mom died from cancer at the age of 42. I'm learning the importance of numbering my days, that I would have a heart of wisdom.

I totally agree. It is so easy to push aside that we don't know how long our life will be here on earth. Thanks for reminding ne that we should really really glorify God all the time in all we do!
