You’re on your way to a dozen at least.
In Christ,
Janet
[Admin note: Janet has a complete dozen herself!]

very cool. Did you manage to wait till now to tell him? I always wanted to think of clever, original ways to tell DH I was pregnant, but it never happened that way.
Congratulations!
[Admin: Yes, Rachel! He found out online!]
Comment by Rachel (June 18, 2005 @ 7:11 pm )
Woohoo! That’s great news. Congrats to the whole lot of you.
And Amy, in case you’re confused about Rachel’s post, DH = Dear Husband.
(Inside joke - everyone else feel free to ignore it).
Comment by Tim (June 18, 2005 @ 7:46 pm )
Congratulations Amy and family!
I, like Rachel, haven’t had a chance to *creatively* announce our next blessing to my dh although we just had #6 a few weeks ago…usually he is the one convincing *me* that I really am pregnant!! LOL
I enjoyed the announcement and am happy for you!
May the Lord grant you a healthy and uneventful pregnancy!
Comment by Tamara (AK) (June 18, 2005 @ 8:31 pm )

AMY! That is WONDERFUL NEWS!!!!
I’m so excited for you - what a great celebration!
What a wonderful FATHER’s DAY GIFT!
Okay, the only thing that would have made it better was to set it to music.
I read that and got sweet chillbumps all over my arms and neck.
BLESSINGS!
Comment by Heather L. Sanders (June 18, 2005 @ 10:48 pm )

Wow, that was well done.
Congratulations!
Comment by Tim (June 18, 2005 @ 11:29 pm )
Tim,
The timing issues were just fixed (by my husband, of course), so I’m assuming you just saw the new, improved version!
Heather,
I know it needs some tunes. I might add some later if I can figure out a way not to let the file get so big. [Update: tunes added.]
Thanks, everyone, for the kind words! ‘Preciate it!
Comment by Amy (June 18, 2005 @ 11:33 pm )
Congrats!!
Babies are so exciting! We just found out last week that we’re expecting #2 (looks like you and I will have yet another baby close in age…my #1 was born 6/10/04-what fun!) I couldn’t get the power point to work, I’ll have to ask my husband to figure it out for me. It sounds really neat though, I can’t wait to see it.
God’s blessings on you and your family!
Comment by tiffany (June 18, 2005 @ 11:47 pm )
This little presentation went by so fast, I didn’t even know you were expecting (after six tries) until I read the comments . . .I sure would like to know what some of the pictures look like after one tenth of a second and I’d love to be able to read the last three frames.
I’ve enjoy your humble musings and even went sleuthing to see what the little controversy might have been that caused you to pull a post, but the man you quoted has written quite a bit and nothing jumped out at me.
CONGRATULATIONS, Amy! I’m glad to know you, even if you don’t know me.
Michaele
[Admin: Michaele, thanks for the note. See my comments to Rick.]
Comment by Michaele (June 18, 2005 @ 11:49 pm )
Using the Powerpoint Viewer, the presentation didn’t work right for me… It would speed sporadically through the images, many of them passed too quickly to read.
[Admin: Not sure what’s going on. Are you clicking on anything? The presentation launches automatically. You should not click on the slides or audio icon. Valerie tells me, tell them “left-clicking or scrolling the center mouse wheel (if they have one) will speed things up. If they right-click, they can pause, go back, or choose to view any frame in the presentation that they want.” Not exactly a solution, but does this help at all?]

Congratulations!!! I bet you are thrilled. Your powerpoint brought back memories…we were announcing my pg with dd last June too. And she was born on Feb 20 this year. So I really think that February is a great month to have a baby.
I love your idea with counting babies and houses, but we’ve lived in 9 houses and only 3 kids so far, so I guess I can’t use your idea. And no, we’re not in the military! Sigh…
Blessings on your pregnancy!

He smiled real big.

Congratulations! We are still waiting for our fourth ~ not yet, but Lord willing, He will send another wondeful, beautiful belessing our way. And our first was born in February. If you are like me and get quite warm toting around your own little heater, being pregnant in the winter is perfect. My second was born in January and our third in October. Winter is definatly best.
By the way, it went very fast for me as well. Upon looking at it, my husband discovered that your second picture has and 8 second time with it, but all the other ones have “:00″ time with it. What he did, was go to “view” and choose “slide show”. Then right click on the page, anywhere, and choose “set up show”. Change it to “manually” and hit “okay”. This will bring up the first slide and you can go to the next one by hitting the space bar. And then look at them at your leisure and enjoy!
Our prayers are with you, your family and your special little one!!

I missed the announcement entirely yesterday–I didn’t think I could read PowerPoint, but lo and behold, today I clicked anyway and it worked! Congratulations! I have a February baby (he’s 7 now) myself. Great time to be pregnant. [Is there a bad time? No. I didn’t think so. :)]
Comment by Mel (June 21, 2005 @ 2:21 am )
Yeah Amy and Family! Congratulations! My calendar says I’m due Feb. 2nd. How about you? I wrote my hubby a poem for our anniversary. It was a long one about our 20 married years together. The last verse was,
“The next 20 years? only God knows what’s in store.
But, I know He wants us to have 1 blessing more!”
The poem was so long, the last verse was on the back, so hubby almost missed the announcement!
Comment by Connie (June 21, 2005 @ 8:43 am )
Sweet! You’ll never forget that particular smile.
Comment by Holly (June 21, 2005 @ 9:14 am )
A big ‘ol {{{{HUG}}} and an even bigger congratulations! Praise God that one blog can have SO many positive comments and praises concerning another new life! And not one person replied, “don’t you know what causes that?” I’m so happy for you and your family!
Many blessings!

I found out about our first via an ecard - this Internet thing is really making the spousal communication more creative:)
Congrats and God bless!

I’m just checking in with my CONGRATULATIONS, Amy.
I had seen the {click here for a special treat} box on your post before now, but since we have dial-up, windows 98, and no power point, I just didn’t bother wondering what it was all about. Now, just checking back and seeing you have 46 comments {!!!} I thought I’d better read the comments to see what in the world was going on.
Seems like the powerpoint message was creative and wonderful, and I wish I could see it. Congratulations from all of us here anyway!

I stumbled across this while searching the web for a friend, and tears came to my eyes!! This is such a beautiful surprise.
I am years away from my first baby (God willing), but would love to plan something like this for my future husband (we’re going to be married on 07-07-07). What was the name of the song?
God’s blessings to you and your family!

For My Husband On Valentine’s Day
Just want to say I love you
Thinking of you today
You mean so very much to me
In a very special way.
You’re my sunshine in the morning
My moonlight every night
When I’m sad and lonely
You make everything just right.
So have a very happy day
The way it’s meant to be
What makes this card so special is
Because it comes from me.
I don’t say it often enough
But I’ll say it here today
I love you dear with all my heart
Have a wonderful Valentine’s Day!
