Nothing slips by them

So, I take my oldest son with me to Olive Garden because I’m craving Pasta e Fagioli and also because I want to reward him for being such a huge help while I lay on the couch all day. We eat, have a good conversation, and I keep my soup down. The waitress brings our bill and my son says, “That’s interesting: they let us eat our food without us paying for it first.”
I’m not saying anything else.

No wonder I’d never seen it…
Thanks!

Amazing the things we assume as adults … through the eyes of someone that is “new” to the situation, that must have been quite odd!
A church friend from Uganda was confused while in McD0onald … thought a cheeseburger was just a big slab of cheese between two pieces of bread.
lol … but you’re not from Uganda, are you?
Glad you’re family is branching out a little!!! hehehe

Olive Garden salad and Pasta Fagioli was the ONLY thing I could stomach reasonably well in my 2nd pregnancy. As a result, my husband will hardly step foot into the restaurant now. Even the smell makes him run.
Wow … you got your food BEFORE paying at Olive Garden? Now THAT is something to blog about. Well, really … your son’s comment is funnier … mine would have been along the same lines and I’m 33.

I love the way kids think. Glad you had a good experience with food that day too. (and something you like!)

I thought everyone went to the Olive Garden to hear Dean Martin sing.

My son was so excited to eat out with Grandparents. He kept telling them, “wow! we get to go INSIDE!”
I hear you sister…

…you might also bring to his attention that you get to speak to a real person, not a box when placing your order.

Well, we don’t have an Olive Garden locally, but we drove 2 hrs today and ate lunch at one (not for that reason, but we took advantage of being in the area). Yes, the pasta e fagioli and salad were to die for!
Glad you are feeling better, Amy.
