Thanks for thinking of me, Barbara. I enjoyed reading your sevens, and I will post my own later in the week should I actually think of seven things I regularly say. (!??!) Perhaps I might have to ask the kids. Anyway, I appreciate the tag and am grateful for your thoughts, as always.

Oh, Amy - your musings on motherhood are always so amusing and real!

Maybe during one of your nightly sojourns you can take time to answer the Seven Sevens, because Dear Sister, you've been tagged! Go to my site to see mine, then you can do yours. As if you didn't have enough to do. . . .

But do it for me and for your readers. We really want to know even more about Amy.

Love,
Barbara

Seriously. I love the cruse control analogy. I've had one of those roadbumps this week. Mine was insect infestation in my carefully prepared food storage! It is never boring, is it. My mom says God lets us get complacent for about 2 days at a time. :)

If your not waking up five times to go to the bathroom, or checking to see if the baby is breathing, or just to mill around the house making sure everything is locked up tight then night time just doesn't seem normal. I am not sure when I had a full nights sleep. For some reason Mr. Sandman is merciless to mothers of youngsters. Just think of this excerise as God's way of preparing you yet again for the long nights ahead.

For me, pregnancy itself is an exercise in learning humility and patience. You are doing great looking to God in your time of need. It is a good reminder for me when that time might come again.

You mean it's ok to confess that one is not godly between the hours of 11pm and 4am? Wow. Thanks. I'm not godly either at that time. :ohoh_ee:

And yes! -- The question, by the way, isn’t, “What’s wrong with me?” but “How’d you do that?!” -- is what we should be asking! I completely agree. Love it!

I hope you get your rest tonight. It's very bad to be ungodly too many nights in a row. :wink_ee:

Oh Amy I can so relate! It really does seem that you finally get into a routine and everything is going along really great (the laundry is done, the dishes are done, the floors aren't scary, and you're not eating anything that comes from a box) and then life happens. But it is good. It is all adorned with divine aproval. Thanks for another great and timely post.
