I think I'll assign myself a copywork sheet from that verse! I need to drum it home -- evidently God is feeling like I need to learn it as well, since he's put us in a season of want for a while. I have been praying He will reveal the specific lesson I need to learn, so I can make this a shorter sojourn. Perhaps this is just it!

Ah, winter is wonderful! And yes, the fire is blazing in the wood furnace. We have been getting snow almost every day since December first or a bit before that. Truthfully, I like it when things finally freeze up for good. I don't like the fall thawing and freezing, or spring's mud season. Other than that winter is okay.

I recently lost my 4 year old son, and I was on the hunt for a bereavement blog when I stumbled upon your blog site. (No kidding!) It takes alot these days to penetrate my pain and make me smile, but darling you've succeed. Thank you for this gift, and my God Bless you and yours.

I wonder about January too -- why just November, December and February? Hope your gathering went well.

Well, up here in the good ol' backwoods of northern WI we at least a foot of snow. 7" or 8" of it in the last 48 hours. But that's okay. I love winter. I can't imagine living some place where it's 70 degrees in December! Fire places are nice, but they're really not that great. Using them as a heat source is pretty lousy ( not to mention messy!). Now a wood stove, there's some heat!

Okay, so this really wasn't worth typing and using up space. But, oh well. I hope you had a good "people just droping by" party. :cheese_ee:

Okay, I'll bite. "There are three reasons that people live in Florida: November, December, and February." What happens in January?

If you would like I will pack up a good 3-4 inches of snow and ship it to you...dont worry that will still leave me w/ a good 3-4 of my own inches of snow ;) That will look pretty having some snow and a fire going...at your "gathering".

Christy.....seen the snow...it was pretty....ready now for spring ;)

Wow, in ER one day and then having a gathering the next. Yup, I can see it now, Amy is going to be a fine agrarian. She will have the baby in the a.m. and be milking the bovines in the p.m. Wonder where baby energizer gets her energy;)?

Amy,

Once again the little snippets of life you share on the site have struck home. With all that is going on, it is easy to forget that contentment comes from the Lord.

I don't so much mind the cold here in Colorado, but it would be easier to bear with more of the white stuff!
