Fun, fun, fun

It’s always a pleasure to meet people who read this weblog. So far, I’ve had the privilege to meet many–probably about a few dozen. It’s great! It keeps me honest, as it’s hard to rhapsodize too much when you know you’ll be found out.
A regular commenter, “Jo in Orlando,” came over with her family this past weekend. She has a husband and four respectful, great boys. I do believe now there is hope for the next generation. The time went by too fast, and I hope they will come again soon. They are kindred spirits, and it is always exciting to meet those kinds of folks along the way.
Don’t be afraid to drop me a line. The combox won’t explode, your computer won’t self-destruct, and your email box won’t be filled to the brim with spam. The worse thing that could happen is that I invite you for coffee. Ask anyone. My coffee is worth it, especially if we happen to have some Starbucks’ White Christmas.

I’d love to meet you. I enjoy your blog immensely. Rhapsodize away! Are you heading to Nova Scotia any time soon? If so, bring your White Christmas coffee. Sounds delicious. (And please bring Jo. We’ve not had a stellar day here and I’ve been busy fretting in an email to my sister about the lack of hope for the next generation. I could use some reassurance.)

That is kind of you to say so, Charmin. I only own about three lightweight long-sleeved shirts, though. It would most definitely have to be during the dead of summer.
When we traveled this past summer, I did write a few notes to people who comment here that I thought we might pass. As it turned out, we met a couple families. Wonderful! We met the Howard and the Saenz families, reconnected with old neighbors in another state, and almost met Shannon Miller and her family.
That’s a fine looking bunch of boys in that picture. I’d say there is hope for our future men.

I am originally from Nova Scotia. I use to know a Charmin (Dorey) in Nova Scotia down the valley way. We also attended the same Bible school in New Brunswick. Is that you Charmin? Just curious. I could not access your blog as our filter has x’d out blogspot and beta.blogger as well:-( It is great to have a good filter, yet annoying at the same time.
Blessings,
Theresa

Well, it’s a small world after all. Hello, Theresa! (As I rack my brain trying to think if there was more than one Theresa at Bible school in New Brunswick.)
I just followed the link to your website. Yup, it’s you. So good to see you! And what a great family! It’s so encouraging to meet up with old friends and see that they are still following the Lord. Thank you for being an encouragement to me tonight.

A caption? Hmm. With their expressions, I can’t help but say: Fast forward twenty years and it’ll be, ‘Can I marry her, please?’ with a slightly more serious expression.”

Starbucks Christmas blend is my ultimate favorite. Too bad it is seasonal. Year before last I stocked my freezer with enough to last until the NEXT Christmas.
I thought Ruthanne’s captions were great! Adorable pictures.

How adorable! Does anyone besides me sometimes feel like we might be raising a great generation? It’s a little too overwhelming to think about…

Uhhh..I thought maybe the little guy might have to make a trip to the bathroom (blush!) Perhaps that comes from having so many little ones…..thinking of potty trips that is. Maybe by admitting that fact you will all get another laugh!
It is a small world after all. Imagine meeting up with each other after 15-16 years. Great to hear from you Charmin! Off to answer your email…
Blessings,
Theresa

I LOVE the pics of the two-year-olds–and I, too, was thinking that courting was the natural theme there! They sure do make a cute wee couple!
Amy, if you ever happen to be in Ottawa, you’re definitely having coffee with me. We must have fifty Starbucks in the vicinity of my home and office! But you will have to come in July–I don’t recommend even that people from other cold-weather places come here in the winter!

I’m going to comment again just so I can say that it is more than an hour’s drive to the nearest Starbucks for me. Now you can all feel sorry for me. : )

The caption:
Boy expresses his sheer delight that Amy finally has the dog she’s been dreaming of.
Thanks for your kind words about my children. I think/hope they’ll make great husbands someday.

Hi,
I’ve enjoyed reading your blog for a long time (found you through Cyrstal at Biblicalwomanhood). I live in Michigan and am newly married, no children on the way, but we have a little beagle. The fact that you can find time in your busy schedule to blog is AMAZING and a real encouragement to me to not procrastinate! I am kind of new to blogging and post at http://farmhomelife.blogspot.com/
take care,
Trixie

Great blog Amy, as usual!
If you are ever near the Chicago area, give me a buzz!
We have Starbucks a plenty around here!!!

Shucks you all, I’ve never stepped foot in a Starbucks or even tasted the stuff. I’ll stick to my Earl Grey, thanks!! The pictures are adorable.

Yes, adorable kids. I’ve always thought of the pic #2 look as the turtle look… check out the neck!! He looks like he’d take off with my Jack and do a great demo job!! Little girl looks like she’d appreciate a little separation. He needs to woo her a little more.
Never been to Starbucks. I’m going out today for my 12 year olds first “Ladies” haircut and I am GOING TO STARBUCKS!!
Whoo hoo! I’ve been whac’a-moling all morning and need a treat!
Sorry, I’ve been up with a teething baby for about a week and a half now and I am really, really tired.

I just checked out the Charmin link…
I know you too!! I’m going to your website!

Well, if you’re ever in Washington… (state, that is)… let me know. I’d love to meet you!!!
And you really should make a trip, by the way. It’s beautiful here. Just bring an umbrella. There’s rain. And we have MOUNTAINS. [I mean, I don't PERSONALLY have a mountain, but ya know what I mean! :)]
