HI, When I went to the doctors when I was expecting no.4 in reasonable quick sucession (oldest was 5) my doctor asked me with genuine concern “what happened?” - wasn’t sure whether to start a biology lesson there and then!! Having moved and with different doc surgery and expecting no.5 my midwife thinks I am wonderful and a real earth mother - I won’t disallusion her!!!

Re. age - a couple years ago a newly aquired friend looked at our wedding photo from 8yrs ago and commented how we had ‘aged’ (I was only 30 at the time)- the true effect of kids!!

I guess I’m a “wacko” too! At eight children and counting, I think that “right wing Christian fundamentalist” thing
might fit me too!

around here anything more then 2 children is considered
brave.

my moms family was an exception….she was the 11th of 12 kids!

I’m always amazed by people who think it’s important to weigh in on how they think you should stop breeding. I’ve had that discussion with my docs for the past 3 or 4 years. Of course, now I’m massively infertile, so they aren’t so worried but at first they were aghast that I didn’t want to be put on bcp.

I love your sense of humor - what makes it so funny is that it speaks such truth, “he paused as he searched for the right words for ‘right wing Christian fundamentalists’”. I just rolled!!!!!

“Older”???? (my voice is rising into a squeak). Let’s just say 30 sounds pretty young, especially since my oldest will be closer to 3-0 than 2-0 next February.

But you all can appreciate what my Dr’s nurse said to me when I was a little upset about comments concerning my family size (we were at 4 and ended up with 7). “You’ve got a little family…they’re all quite little.” She was a mom of 5 and understood better than most, bless her!

Well, I’m 26 (Nov 28th will make me 27) and we have 4 children 5 and under. I pray that we will have more. Am I a wacko? Sure. Why not? I’m already weird. After all, I wear a head covering, wear only dresses and homeschool my children. What’s one more thing? Although it is interesting how many times I hear “oh how perfect is your family!” (we have two girls and two boys, in that order). I never have but I’ve wanted to ask “does that mean any other combo is not perfect?”

Just wonderin’.

My in laws think I’m a wacko. they also told us with a serious face, “Why would want to have a another child? two is perfect, do you want to end up like those wackos? that would be terrible.”
This all started cause I said I liked mini vans!

Proud to be one of those wackos!!!
pray for us, trying to have a 3rd.
