I haven't commented in a while but that doesn't mean I haven't been checking in. It seems like the "Bug" is hard to shake off this year. I hope it leaves your home sooner than later.

Take care of each other and get well soon!

Hi Greg, I have been ruminating on easy meal ideas for you and the kids. Here are two I thought of recently:
Chicken Teriyaki with Rice: Take chicken breasts (frozen is fine) and put them in a crock pot with enough bottled teriyaki sauce so the chicken is covered. Cook on medium or high for a few hours (you might add water at some point if the sauce is getting too thick, or looks too dry to "braise" the chicken. White rice is easy if you follow the directions on the package and I add a teaspoon of chicken buillion aslo (tastes better and you don't need salt). You can use brown rice, but it takes longer. Rice takes about 20 minutes to make so when you put it on, take the chicken out of the crock pot and put it on a plate. Take a tablespoon of cornstarch mixed with a tablespoon or two of COLD water and add it to the teriyaki sauce in the crockpot. Turn it to high to boil and the sauce will thicken. You can add the chicken back to reheat and you can serve it over rice. Add some baby carrots, or apple slices or fruit and you're kids should be just fine with it all!

Ladies, did I miss anything with this recipe? Help Greg out here!

Way to see God's mercy in the midst of trials! I'm glad to hear that Amy was able to keep some food down. What was she finally able to eat? I'd like to keep this in mind for future pregnancies (Lord willing). And how did your Chicken Casserole turn out? Thanks for keeping us updated!

I am a young college student and enjoying reading Amy's thoughts and perspectives on motherhood and life! Her blogs are a light amidst 'the spirit of the time' in regards to marriage and being a mom.
My roomate and I are praying for your family.
Take care!

"It’s not earth-shaking and it won’t bring world peace or anything like that, but what do you want for $5?"

I'm shaking . . . with laughter . . . .

The best of luck to both of you. As long as the sense of humour remains intact, you should be able to get through anything!
