[...] Most of you know that my oldest son plays baseball. I wanted him to play the piano, but he likes baseball and not the piano. He plays Little League in the spring and fall. In the summer and winter, he plays in a competitive league. That’s a lot of baseball, but that’s also a lot of peace and quiet for the mom in the house. [...]

Enjoyed visiting, came from Chasing the Wind. I love the baseball video! And what planet is Ruth from not knowing who the pitcher is?? :-)

Great writings here, I'll come back again.

Any further thoughts about writing about your thoughts on epidurals? By the way, have you read the Bradley book about natural childbirth?

I got three more requests this week for the epidural post I promised so haphazardly. I am sorry! I've just put it aside for the time being. One, to read more. Two, lack of computer time, sickness, etc. I hammered out the last post very quickly, and I try to write when I'm motivated.

Yes, I read the Bradley book several pregnancies ago. I'm finding the information in Childbirth Without Fear to be more helpful--to me anyway, just because the medical knowledge is truly what I need in particular. (This is probably not the case for most people; I'm just very thirsty for knowledge right now. Yes, I knew that this was a normal event, but understanding the biology of it all is causing my anxiety to melt bit by bit.) I can't just relax--I have to know why.

Is it the gum chewing that makes them so good then?

Yes.

By the way, Sean wants to know which one is your son? The boy throwing the ball or the boy hitting it? We really know nothing about this sport!

Ruth, The pitcher is the guy throwing the ball and chewing all the gum. :)

Amy - Is yours one of the voices yelling the background?

No, I usually go to games, but this was our first out-of-town game, and I stayed home with the baby.

What is it about baseball? Within seconds after pushing "Play" on that video my 3 year old son was at my elbow, rapt with attention. :)
Great video.
