Looks great, Amy! Er, I mean Valerie.

Thanks, Jeana! I really am pleased that everyone seems to enjoy it so much. But, in the main, the credit goes to Amy. She was the one who chose the dominant colors, photos, and basic structure. My job was to figure out how to make it all go together in a way that was satisfactory to her (and she really does tell it like it is - for which I'm very thankful, it allowed me to get the job done cleaner and quicker).

Hey! I had no idea you were going to post that, Amy! :embarrassed_ee: :smile_ee:

Carrie, I wanted to let you know that I am a dedicated Firefox user. :) And I seek to make my code "work well" in FF as well as IE (since I know that's still what most people use). So I had verified that Amy's design looked good in Firefox both in my Windows XP and Vista computers.

I am not certain what FF feed reader you might be reading blog posts through. On one of my FF installations, if I click on the Subscribe button, it brings up a cleanly-rendered "feed" page, with summaries (Edit: Well, not actually summaries, just the first few lines) of Amy's latest posts. All apostrophes and quotes show up as they should. Are you using a feed-reader plug-in for FF?

I really am interested, and would like to help if at all possible. :biggrin_wp:

BTW, what is comment spam?

It's when robots leave comments on your site, linking to their trash.

Am I stuck with this for my using Firefox?

Is this a firefox feed??

Here's what Valerie had to say:

My thunderbird feed is working the same as it did before and the new theme should be using the same set of feed files as your other theme. IOW, there are no special feed files in your old theme set (feed files are located in the top level of the wordpress files), and thus I put none in the new. And I have not (yet, at least - I haven't determined if/when I will do it) updated your blog - everything is the same as before except for the theme files.

I don't know what feed reader she is using (not certain if it would help me much to know) and I currently am unable to speculate what could be causing a problem now if there was none before. Could it possibly be in her feed reader? An update there?

I think that means that the short answer is "yes."

I'll try not to use so many apostrophes. :) Thanks for the feedback!

Amy- you want feedback, so
Here's what I get on my RSS feed:

You might have noticed a few design changes around here. I’ve kept the same layout for two and a half years, because I’m not inclined to fix stuff that isn’t broken. ...

Am I stuck with this for my using Firefox?

PS your website and home look great! God just moved us to NC.

Dear Amy,
I love your new look. The picture of the house really makes it look like you might indeed by Anne with an 'E'. :smile_wp:

This is a truly lovely layout, Amy. It is peaceful and makes me think of a nice warm cup of milky coffee. :)

Very nice new look - In IE it's like rich chocolate milk and cheap dollar store cover girl foundation, but somehow it works! I come for the content and the packaging is just a bonus anyway!
