Not family friendly?

We installed new internet filters this weekend, and my website was blocked. Why? Due to violence and hate. I wonder which post that one was.

Amy, if you’re ever again looking for a new filter, OpenDNS has a free service which blocks adult sites — including options to block proxies, tasteless sites, lingerie sites, etc. — as well as phishing sites.
And their domain spelling correct is pretty handy too for those days my fingers insist on writing “.cmo”

I can’t believe those filters are smart enough to catch on to your sarcasm… Wow. I’ve been hanging out with someone spreading hate and violence. And to think you encourage me. What does that say about me?

Now this post is sending me to bed laughing! Hmmm…which post was it?
We put one of those family friendly blocks on many years ago and I was shocked at what we couldn’t visit. I couldn’t get through to a Christian women’s forum I was a part of (and still am all these years later).

Really? That’s absurd.

My site was caught because I had written a gardening post and used the names of two garden gurus–a shortened form of Richard. The spam filter thought they were body parts. It is also possible to be caught if you have ever used the words hurt or death. Funny in a frustrating way.

Maybe it’s because you’re a Calvinist!
