Now, this…–THIS– is progress. Here is a bathtub. Can you just imagine the luxury?

It was all going well until the plumber went through the roof while working on the second floor:

Oh well.

Umm…Did HE literally go through it as in fall, or did he damage it?

Oops, sorry about that. I meant that he “went through” with his tools on accident–not that he actually fell through the ceiling. (Though that would make a much more interesting story and picture, don’t you think?)

Whew. I’m glad you posted in #4 Amy. I am relieved he didn’t get hurt.

Oops! Every project needs it’s stories. What fun would there be if it all went smoothly? = )

Oh, hey - you wanted a new ceiling there anyway right???? I’ll bet he’s one red faced plumber!

Ummm, my husband actually went THROUGH a customer’s ceiling with his legs hanging down like in a movie. He slipped in the attic and the only wood available for him to land on up there was rotted. He was too embarrassed to get hurt!

All I pictured when I read that was the Tom Hanks moive “The Money Pit”. There was that scene when he and Shelley Long are pouring pails of hot water into their tub and it falls through the ceiling and smashes into peices on the bottom floor. HILARIOUS!!!
Glad that didn’t really happen here, Amy.

Oh dear!
We did actually once have a whole man fall through our ceiling (into the bathtub!) He was working in the (un finished) attic and missed his step.

Our friend broke his neck in a very similar accident. He was an electrician that feel through a ceiling. I am greatly relieved at the additional information. I was a little alarmed at the “oh well” response to hearing a man fell through the ceiling. Thankful it was the man’s TOOLS that went through the ceiling.
