Brave or stupid

The line between bravery and stupidity is very thin. The difference is your good fortune, of which I have none.

Oh no. What happened now? I hope it didn’t involve blood.
BTW there is no such thing as “good fortune”–only the divine will of God. You know that!

Oooooo, I have a guess. I think I’m experiencing it right now.
Whip out the beans - it’s worth a shot.

Oh dear. This doesn’t sound good!

Amy!!
What is it??!! Don’t leave us hanging!!

Arrghh… Amy. You are mean to leave it like this. And I am heading out to visit a friend who has no internet connection. In this day and age, you’d think EVERYONE would be connected to the world-wide-web, especially in North America. But, no…
So, I will pray for you, and check back later.
Love,
Janet

Hey, it’s no big deal but thank you for caring! I just figured I’d skip the boring story and head straight to the point. What’d ya think? Good time management?

Amy: well, as much as I enjoy Abraham Piper’s blog—I appreciate your stories when they are a bit longer than 22 words!
SO WHAT HAPPENED????
Comment by Elizabeth Esther (April 28, 2008 @ 10:46 am )
No!! NOT good time management!! Mean!!! We like the stories, however boring you think they are … 20 words is not enough with a great teaser title like that. Seriously.
Besides, isn’t that the whole point of a blog? To share boring details with strangers you’ve never met?

That’s funny! Another mommy-blogger just posted with a very similar title… I wonder if Someone is trying to get my attention… I’ll be watching for opportunities to avoid being unwisely “brave.”
Thanks! =)

Ooops, I meant to post the link:
Brave? No. Crazy? Yes!

Ahem. I tried to check your blog at school today (I’m a teacher) and it came up as ‘website banned. Your user ip etc etc have been logged, blah blah blah, and something about the use of the terms ‘crack cocaine’. Amy, you are no longer suitable reading for western australian teachers.
When are you going back to a G rated site?

One of the most common comments I get when I’m out with my four little ones and pregnant belly is, “You’re brave!” Haha–Now I’ll know what they REALLY mean!
Comment by Jennifer (April 29, 2008 @ 5:51 pm )
Are you really not going to tell us? I’m stuck in bed, mind-numbingly nauseous. Please entertain me.

In instances like this—a story about putting your hand in hot oil quickly enough to not get burned–I think it’s best to just tell the moral of the story instead of the boring part. I respect ya’lls time, though admittedly, not often enough.
Comment by Amy Scott (April 30, 2008 @ 11:44 am )
Amy,
They (whomever they are) also say there is a fine line between insanity and brilliance as well!
Oooh, the hot oil thingo sounds right on the brave line though! Not sure I’d be prepared to do it!!!!
Blessings to ya,
Mel (Australia)

Suffice it to say I feel your pain - I almost lit the house on fire yesterday via the chicken brooder in the mudroom.
