House Project: Almost there
Thursday, May 1, 2008
The house is all done except for the kitchen. I will find out if it’s a true or just a rumor when I check it out this weekend.
The picture below is what it will kind of be like….with a few differences here and there:

Revelation 18:2-3 (KJV)
2 And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. 3 For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies.

I hope this isn’t some kind of crazy foreshadowing. You see, I’ve been through that very castle on a tour. It was never finished in the king’ lifetime. If I recall correctly I think it may even have unfinished rooms to this day (preserved as such for history).
So, may your home actually be your castle and may it be finished someday soon!

It looks “ok” Amy, you do realise that you will need one more kid to make up to the 7 dwarfs though

Oh, man–Amy? Do you realise how long it will take you to VACUUM that thing????

Met a very nice couple (the Stocks) recently who run a small retreat center outside of Knoxville. They are actually shooting for this on a smaller scale. Looks very impressive. Pictures load slowly, midieval web server perhaps.

Hey, I’ve been to your house before!

When I was 18 went on a 9 week missions/site-seeing trip to Europe and one of the first places we visited was Neuschwanstein castle…thoroughly exhausted from jet leg. The thing I remember most is walking down the hill, with rubber-legs, trying not to fall over. It is a breathtaking castle, hope you get to have a maid or two.

OK Just thinking, you’re not welcome here anymore.
Amy went up to the “castle” this weekend to check on things and to allegedly make the almost final payment to the builder. It seems he is a little bit behind where he hoped to be at this point. I just hope he got the plumbing connected, ’cause it’ll be a long weekend for her without.

Oh! So you eventually did make your fortune in real estate?! That will make a lovely retirement home.
Comment by Tamara (May 4, 2008 @ 6:39 pm )
so, this is “the simple farm life” eh?
Comment by Elizabeth Esther (May 4, 2008 @ 9:33 pm )
Please let me stay, Greg! I promise not to point out any potential foreshadowings in the future
I’m certain that your castle will be completed in a much more timely manner. Certain.

Hey, if Neuchwanstein is your new home, then I only lived a couple of hours from you for quite some time. Too bad we moved! I could have used a good friend in Germany.
Comment by Mary (May 10, 2008 @ 12:49 pm )
Hey, I didn’t know you lived there? If I would have known that I would have stopped to say “hello” when I was in Germany!
